A possibility to study the islets of Langerhans in a mouse eye is reported by NyTeknik on the 2nd of December 2013.
Researchers in P-O Berggren’s group have come with a solution to study diabetes progress and effectiveness of a treatment program and exercising. If one places insulin-producing islets of Langerhans into a mouse eye, they will report on what happens in the pancreas.
