Method developed that gives researchers better conditions for studying insulin-producing cells

Pancreatic islet blood flow dynamics in primates

On the web-site of Karolinska Institutet, there is  recent post regarding a new publication in  the scientific journal Cell Reports. “Researchers have established a unique method enabling them to study the function of insulin-producing cells under conditions that are similar to those in humans. This can pave the way to development of new medicines for the treatment of diabetes.”

Utvecklad metod ger forskare bättre förutsättningar att studera insulinproducerande celler

På Karolinska Institutets hemsida finns en nyligen publicerad pressrelease, mot bakgrund av en ny publikation i den vetenskapliga tidningen Cell Reports. “Forskare har genom etableringen av en unik metod studerat funktionen hos insulinproducerande celler under förhållanden liknande dem hos människan, vilket kan bidra till framtagning av nya mediciner för behandlingen av diabetessjukdomen.”
